Machhapuchchhre Model Trek
This itinerary follows the Mardi Himal High Route (Machhapuchhre Model Trek), a hidden gem in the Annapurna region. Unlike the more crowded trails, this route offers a rugged, "off-the-beaten-path" experience through rhododendron forests and high-altitude pastures (Kharkas) with incredible views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
The Machhapuchhre Model Trek is a premier example of sustainable "Village-Based Tourism." Since its introduction by TAAN (Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal), it has gained a reputation as the perfect alternative for those seeking the beauty of the Annapurna region without the crowds of the more famous Mardi Himal or ABC routes.
