  • Lower body wear: Trekking pants, thermal trousers, gore-tax pants, trekking socks, comfortable trekking boots (make sure that your trekking boots are worn in before starting your trek), slippers

Today’s trek leads you to a long and challenging one with a steep ascent to Tilicho Base Camp 4,991 meters/ 16,138 feet. The distance it covers is almost 8 km, and the time it takes is around 5 hours from Khangsar Village to Tilicho Base Camp.  The trail passes through high-altitude desert landscapes, Khangsar village, and mesmerizing views of the Annapurna range although it is important to be well-acclimatized for this trek, as altitude sickness can be a serious problem at this altitude.

You will arrive at Jomsom 2,713 meters/8,900 feet and the distance it covers is around 20.4 km, and time is about 7 hours from Muktinath to Jomsom, bustling town with shops, restaurants, and a small airport. This is arguably the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. You will tackle the mighty Thorung La Pass 5,416 meters/17,769 feet and the distance it covers is nearly 15 km, and time is around 8.5 hours from Thorung Phedi to Muktinath via Thorung La. The highest point on the Annapurna circuit trek although the pre-dawn start ensures you reach the pass before strong winds pick up later in the day the climb is steep and requires a good level of fitness.

Once at the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapuran and Dhaulagiri massifs and the descent from the pass is long and follows a rocky trail. Then you enter to the Mustang region with its distinct Buddhist culture and Tibetan influences.

Muktinath 3,800 meters/12,467 feet, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhism, here you can visit the Muktinatha temple, a pagoda dedicated to Vishnu, and witness the eternal flame fueled by natural gas.

The trail is steep and rocky with sections requiring some scrambling. Be prepared for the cold temperatures and strong winds at the altitude.

Likewise, the villagers practice a form of Buddhism known as Bon Po.

This morning, you will be driven from Kathmandu to Koto a small village located at an altitude of 2,619 meters/8,530. The village is nestled in the Manga district of Nepal within Annapurna conservation area.   • Preventive Measures: Stay hydrated, ascend slowly, maintain your pace, listen to your body, use Diamox, get abundant rest, drink plenty of water using water purification tablets, eat carbohydrate-rich food, and do not drink alcohol or smoke while ascending and descent as soon as possible if the condition is worst.

The following two cards are necessary for trekkers while trekking in the Annapurna region for their safety and security purposes or to collect data and information about tourists.TIMS card (Trekkers’ Information Management System) is required to enter the Annapurna region. Accommodation and Food during the Trek

On this 18-day Annapurna Circuit Trek, you will spend the night at a teahouse and lodges. The most common accommodation options along the trails are Lodges and teahouses and it's simple to accommodate with proper meals. On average most rooms have bunk beds, or twin beds, few have single beds, and have attached bathrooms overall. But may have shared bathrooms. Spend the night in lodges and teahouses they provide a warm place to stay for the night. While trek carry all toiletries with you including toilet paper.

  • Service in the Lodge: Services like hot showers, Wi-Fi, and charging are available including extra charge in accommodation but it depends on the lodges someone may have or may not have Wi-Fi, showers and charging facilities. No heating in the bedrooms, but additional blankets or duvets are available at no extra cost, hot water not available to wash clothes or shower, and the difficulty of drying wet clothes around a communal stove.
  • Drinking Water: You can either purchased bottle water in lodges (but that the price increases the further away from civilization you are) or that you can buy boiled water that might not taste great and having flavored vitamins/electrolyte tablets is very helpful. Other options for drinking water such as personal filtration systems, use water purification tablets to filter water.
  • Snacks: Buy light snacks in Kathmandu for the trek. Pack nuts, energy bars, chocolates, and other things you love to eat during your trek journey.
